Justin Robert Hoffman, 35, is facing charges of institutional vandalism, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct following the Nov. 16, 2024, incident at the Overlook Activities Center, according to Manheim Township police.

Hoffman was reportedly yelling at a group of employees near the rink, threatening to fight them. When officers arrived, he admitted to being under the influence of alcohol but refused to give his name or comply with commands to sit on the curb, police said.

As officers tried to arrest him, Hoffman allegedly resisted by kicking his legs and flexing his arms, requiring multiple officers to subdue him. Once in the back of a patrol car, police say Hoffman kicked the door repeatedly, causing significant damage.

Hoffman was committed to Lancaster County Prison, and a criminal complaint was filed on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, records show.
